What we collect, who we share it with, and how to make us stop.

This policy explains how BudgetNest (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit this website. It is written to meet the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and Canada’s PIPEDA.

What we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address and message when you use the contact form or subscribe to the newsletter.
- Technical data collected automatically. IP address (truncated where possible), browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and time spent.
- Advertising and analytics data. Cookies and similar identifiers set by our advertising and analytics partners, as described below and in the cookie policy.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and we never ask for financial account details.
The Money Dashboard
Our money tools run entirely inside your browser. The income, expense, debt and goal figures you enter are saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot read them, and clearing your browser data deletes them permanently.

Advertising partners
This site is monetised through display advertising. Our advertising partners and the demand partners (SSPs and DSPs) they connect to may set cookies or similar identifiers in order to select, deliver, measure and — where you have consented — personalise the ads you see. Depending on your choices this can include approximate location, device characteristics and a record of the ads you have been shown.
For visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland we use an IAB TCF-compatible consent management platform. Your choices are recorded and passed to those partners, and you can reopen the consent window at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. A current vendor list is available inside that window.
Who else sees your data
- Our hosting provider and content delivery network.
- Our email/newsletter provider, if you subscribe.
- Analytics and advertising partners, subject to your consent.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising cookie use may count as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law; California residents can opt out via the consent window or by emailing us.
International transfers
Our partners may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Contact-form messages: up to 24 months. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Server logs: up to 90 days. Analytics data: up to 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or withdraw consent. Email umerfraaz3@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your national data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to the contact inbox is restricted and password-protected. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive financial details through the form.
Changes
We update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes are announced on the homepage.
