How a BudgetNest guide gets made.
Our process, sourcing rules and the wall between advertising and editorial.

1. Independence
BudgetNest is funded by display advertising and, in future, by clearly labelled affiliate links. Neither influences coverage:
- Advertisers receive no advance notice of, and no veto over, editorial content.
- No product can buy a place in a guide or a ranking position.
- We do not publish sponsored posts, paid guest posts or paid do-follow links.
- If we ever earn a commission from a link, it is disclosed at the top of that page, and the recommendation would be identical without it.
2. Sourcing
Every factual claim about rates, limits, tax thresholds or legal rights is sourced to a primary authority — a central bank, tax authority, financial regulator or the provider’s own published terms. We link the source so you can check it. Where an example is modelled, we show the inputs and the maths.
3. Review and fact-checking
A guide passes three stages: research and draft, an editorial review for clarity and structure, and a fact-check against the sources. The checker is never the writer.
4. Updates
Each guide shows the date it was last verified. Guides covering rates or thresholds are re-checked at least every six months; everything else at least once a year. Material changes are logged as a dated update note on the page.
5. Corrections
We correct errors as soon as they are confirmed. Minor typographical fixes are silent; anything that changes meaning gets a visible correction note with the date and what changed. Report an error to umerfraaz3@gmail.com.
6. Use of AI
We use AI tools for research assistance, outlining and copy-editing. No guide is published straight from a model: every article is written, verified and signed off by a named human editor, who is responsible for its accuracy.
7. What we do not cover
Cryptocurrency and token trading, forex and CFD trading, gambling and betting, payday-loan promotion, and any scheme whose returns depend on recruiting others. We also do not give individual, regulated financial advice — see the disclaimer.
8. Reader privacy
Advertising on this site is served through third-party partners. What they collect, and how you control it, is set out in our privacy policy and cookie policy. You can change your consent choices at any time from the link in the footer. Our Money Dashboard deliberately has no server component, so the figures you enter there are never transmitted anywhere.
